FERVOR is a chapbook length poem, which also happens to be a golden shovel of the 2000’s hit All Star by Smash Mouth. Over the course of this single piece, Weiss delves into memory, the awkwardness of childhood and adolescence, growth, and forgiveness (of others, yes, but also of self). If it’s true that only shooting stars break the mold, then this chapbook is a comet.
